WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella has revealed she is recovering from a significant and unusual injury sustained during a recent match on Monday Night Raw. The veteran superstar shared on her podcast that one of her breast implants was dislodged and pushed into her ribs following a move in the ring.
The incident occurred during the July 28, 2025, episode of Raw in an eight-woman tag team match. Bella teamed with Iyo Sky, Rhea Ripley, and Stephanie Vaquer to face the team of Naomi, Chelsea Green, Alba Fyre, and Piper Niven. The injury is believed to have happened when Niven delivered an elbow drop to a grounded Bella.
Speaking on the August 1 episode of her podcast, “The Nikki & Brie Show,” which she co-hosts with her twin sister Brie Garcia, Nikki detailed the painful aftermath. “I was in a little bit of pain, but I didn’t want it to end,” she said of the match. Her sister Brie then pointed out, “I think it’s stuck in your ribs.”
Nikki confirmed the displacement, explaining she had visited a doctor for an examination. “I didn’t think I’d be here today on my day off in New York City getting my boobs looked at, knowing that my implant has moved,” she recounted. She added that since the injury, it has been difficult to laugh or cough without pain. Despite the discomfort, she maintained a sense of humor about the situation. “I told the doctor, I go, ‘Newly divorced, so the minute the boots are hung up, I’m going to come back to you and we’re going to make these girls look real good, because these girls are going to get some action in the future and that can’t look like that,’” she joked.
On a subsequent podcast episode on August 4, Bella provided an update, noting the widespread attention the news had received. “I keep getting text messages, I was just backstage and everyone kept coming up, like, ‘Is it okay?’” she said. While she is still awaiting a definitive medical assessment, she believes the implant is intact despite being swollen and painful. “I’ll know later. I don’t know yet if it exploded or not. It still seems intact,” she explained. “Send well wishes to my fake boob, thank you.”
The injury comes after Bella, whose real name is Stephanie Nicole Garcia-Colace, made her return to WWE earlier in 2025. She participated in the Royal Rumble in February and made her return to Raw on June 9. A two-time WWE Divas Champion, Bella holds the record for the longest reign with that title at 301 days. She and her sister were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as The Bella Twins in 2021, cementing their legacy in the industry.
As of now, WWE has not released an official statement regarding Nikki Bella’s condition or how long she may be sidelined from in-ring competition. Fans are awaiting further updates as she undergoes medical evaluation to determine the full extent of the damage and the necessary steps for recovery.
