Milwaukee Brewers Host Miami Marlins in Pivotal Weekend Series Amidst Hot Streaks

Milwaukee, WI –

The Milwaukee Brewers are set to host the Miami Marlins for a highly anticipated three-game series at American Family Field from July 25-27, 2025. This matchup brings together two teams on impressive recent runs, promising an exciting weekend of baseball.

The Brewers, currently leading the National League Central with a stellar 61-41 record, return home after a successful 5-1 road trip. Milwaukee has been red-hot, boasting a 9-1 record in their last ten games and recently enjoying an 11-game winning streak. Since June 11, the Brewers have compiled an astounding 25-8 record, solidifying their position as one of baseball’s top teams, according to Brew Crew Ball.

Despite their overall 48-53 record, placing them third in the NL East and 6.5 games out of the final NL Wild Card spot, the Miami Marlins are far from a pushover. They have shown significant improvement, going 6-4 in their last ten outings and a strong 4-2 since the All-Star break, securing series wins against the Kansas City Royals and San Diego Padres. Since June 11, the Marlins have posted a 23-12 record, demonstrating their recent competitive edge, as noted by Brewer Fanatic.

The series kicks off on Friday, July 25, at 4:10 p.m. ET, featuring a compelling pitching duel. The Brewers will send right-hander Freddy Peralta (12-4, 2.85 ERA) to the mound. Peralta has been dominant, winning seven consecutive starts and leading the majors in wins. He’ll face Miami’s right-hander Cal Quantrill (3-8, 5.24 ERA), who is coming off a solid six-inning scoreless performance against the Royals, as reported by CBS Sports.

Saturday’s game, scheduled for 6:10 p.m. ET, will see Miami’s left-hander Jose Quintana (3.49 ERA) take the hill. He will be opposed by Milwaukee’s right-hander Janson Junk (3.09 ERA), who has had a career-best season with the Marlins after previously pitching for the Brewers.

The series concludes on Sunday, July 27, at 1:10 p.m. ET, with another intriguing pitching matchup. Brewers ace Brandon Woodruff (1.65 ERA) will make his fourth start since returning from injury. He has been exceptional, including a strong outing against the Marlins earlier this month. Miami will counter with Eury Pérez (3.23 ERA), who has impressed in his eight starts since undergoing Tommy John surgery.

Offensively, both teams feature key players. For the Brewers, Christian Yelich leads with 19 home runs, while Jackson Chourio is eyeing a 20-20 season with 16 homers and 18 stolen bases, currently riding a 17-game hitting streak. The Brewers’ offense also relies on speed, ranking third in MLB with 117 stolen bases. The Marlins’ attack is powered by All-Star left fielder Kyle Stowers, who boasts a .295 batting average, 22 home runs, and 61 RBIs. Rookie of the Year candidate Agustín Ramírez has also been a significant contributor with 14 homers and 45 RBIs, complemented by the speed of Xavier Edwards and Dane Myers, who have combined for 31 stolen bases.

The series also coincides with the 25th anniversary celebration of American Family Field, featuring an alumni home run derby and a bobblehead game, adding to the festive atmosphere. The Brewers previously won the season series against the Marlins 2-1.

All games will be broadcast on FanDuel Sports Wisconsin and MLB.TV (for out-of-market viewers), with radio coverage available on the Brewers Radio Network. Sunday’s game will also be available on Telemundo Wisconsin. SportsLine’s projection model, which simulated the Friday game 10,000 times, is leaning towards the Under on the total runs, while Brew Crew Ball predicts a Brewers sweep for the series.

This weekend promises competitive baseball as the Brewers aim to extend their NL Central lead and the Marlins look to continue their second-half resurgence.
