Ed Sheeran Unveils Massive 2026 ‘LOOP’ North American Tour

Global Superstar Announces Major Stadium Tour and New Album

Global music sensation Ed Sheeran is set to embark on a massive North American stadium tour in 2026, bringing his all-new “LOOP Tour” to fans across the continent. The announcement comes on the heels of the release of his eighth studio album, “Play,” which dropped on September 12, 2025, heralding a new creative era for the Grammy-winning artist.

The extensive 26-date tour will kick off on June 13, 2026, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, and will traverse major cities before concluding on November 7 in Tampa, Florida. Fans can anticipate shows at some of the largest venues in the U.S. and Canada, including Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium, Chicago’s Soldier Field, and two nights at both Toronto’s Rogers Centre and New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium.

A New Era with “Play” and an All-New Show

The “LOOP Tour” supports Sheeran’s latest album, “Play,” a project he described as a direct response to a challenging period in his life. “Coming out of all of that I just wanted to create joy and technicolour,” Sheeran stated, noting the album was finished in Goa, India, and encapsulates his love for music and exploration. The new tour promises a completely fresh production, with Sheeran teasing a “new stage, new tricks, new set up, new songs and all the classics added in.”

Fans eager to secure their spot can register for an artist presale, which begins on Tuesday, September 23, at 9:00 a.m. local time. A separate presale for American Express card members will start at 12:00 p.m. local time on the same day. The general public on-sale is scheduled for Friday, September 26, at 10:00 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.

Clarifying a Temporary Move

Recent reports about Sheeran relocating to the United States sparked considerable media attention. However, the 34-year-old singer-songwriter has clarified that the move is temporary and standard practice for him during extensive tours. During an appearance on BBC’s The One Show, he explained, “What’s wild is I’ve done this for all of my career. When I tour America I go live there, because I have a family… after the tour is done I will be back.” He confirmed his intention to return to his home near Framlingham, Suffolk, once the tour concludes.

A Global Trek and Record-Breaking History

Before reaching North America, the “LOOP Tour” will have several international stops. Sheeran has scheduled a series of more intimate arena shows in the U.K. and Europe for December 2025, including dates in Paris, Manchester, and Dublin. Following these, he will head to New Zealand and Australia in early 2026.

Sheeran is no stranger to filling stadiums and breaking records. His previous tours have seen monumental success, including a 2023 concert at Minneapolis’ U.S. Bank Stadium that set an all-time attendance record of 72,102. As reported by digitaltrendstoday.com, he also set the attendance record at Seattle’s Lumen Field in August 2023 with an incredible 77,286 fans. His last stop in Detroit in 2023 memorably featured a surprise performance with Eminem, which Sheeran called the loudest crowd he had ever heard.

With a critically acclaimed new album and a technologically advanced new stage show, Ed Sheeran’s upcoming tour is poised to be one of the most anticipated musical events of 2026.
