Demon Slayer Movie: Infinity Castle Arc Details Revealed for 2025 Release

The Final Battle Approaches

The wait is nearly over for one of the most anticipated anime cinematic events. Fans of the global phenomenon Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba can officially mark their calendars, as the next feature film, Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Infinity Castle, is slated to hit theaters on Friday, September 12, 2025. This film is set to adapt the climactic “Infinity Castle Arc” from the manga, signaling the beginning of the end for the epic struggle between the Demon Slayer Corps and their ultimate nemesis, Muzan Kibutsuji.

Following the events of the Hashira Training Arc, the new movie will plunge viewers directly into the heart of the enemy’s stronghold. According to the official synopsis provided by Fandango, “The Demon Slayer Corps plunge into Infinity Castle to defeat Muzan. However, the remaining Hashiras and the Demon Slayers who survived Tanjiro’s Final Selection are pitted against the remaining members of the Twelve Kizuki first.” This sets the stage for a series of intense, high-stakes battles as the corps’ strongest warriors face off against Muzan’s most powerful demons in a final, desperate assault.

Key Details and Returning Talent

The film is expected to be a substantial cinematic experience, with a listed runtime of 2 hours and 30 minutes and an R rating. Helming the project is director Haruo Sotozaki, who has been instrumental in defining the series’ breathtaking visual style and fluid action sequences. The film will see the return of the beloved Japanese voice cast, ensuring continuity for the characters fans have grown to love. The cast includes Natsuki Hanae as Tanjiro Kamado, Akari Kito as Nezuko Kamado, Hiro Shimono as Zenitsu Agatsuma, and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Inosuke Hashibira. The powerful Hashira will also be voiced by their original actors, including Takahiro Sakurai as Giyu Tomioka and Tomokazu Sugita as Gyomei Himejima, among others.

A Legacy of Cinematic Success

The Demon Slayer franchise has a proven track record of theatrical success. The 2021 film, Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train, shattered box office records worldwide, becoming one of the highest-grossing anime films of all time. The series has continued this trend with special theatrical events, such as Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba – To the Hashira Training in early 2024, which combined the finale of the previous arc with the premiere of the new season to give fans a big-screen preview. Infinity Castle appears poised to continue this legacy, promising to be a major cinematic event rather than a compilation film.

Exclusive Screenings and Fan Promotions

For the most dedicated fans, there will be opportunities to see the film before its official release. Crunchyroll has announced that its Mega and Ultimate Fan subscribers in the United States will have access to an exclusive early screening. This special event is scheduled for one night only, on September 9, 2025, just days before the wide release. In addition to early access, Fandango is offering a special “Keychain Bundle,” which includes a movie ticket and a limited-edition metallic Tanjiro keychain for fans looking to secure a piece of memorabilia. As the release date approaches, fans can anticipate more details about ticket sales and participating theaters for what is sure to be one of the biggest movie events of 2025.
