AEW All In: Texas Delivers Unforgettable Night of Championship Changes and Shocking Returns

Arlington, Texas – All Elite Wrestling (AEW) made history on Saturday, July 12, 2025, with its inaugural event at Globe Life Field, AEW All In: Texas. The night was a whirlwind of emotional triumphs, shocking betrayals, and brutal encounters, culminating in several significant championship changes and highly anticipated returns that left fans on the edge of their seats.

The main event saw a barbaric Texas Death Match for the AEW World Championship, where “Hangman” Adam Page reclaimed the title from Jon Moxley. The brutal contest, which involved barbed wire, broken glass, and tables, saw both competitors pushed to their absolute limits. The closing moments were a chaotic spectacle, featuring interference from the Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli and Gabe Kidd) and the Young Bucks. However, the tide turned dramatically with the unexpected returns of Bryan Danielson and Darby Allin, who cleared the ring of Moxley’s allies. In a pivotal moment, Swerve Strickland, a former rival, handed Page his steel chain, allowing “Hangman” to deliver a decisive, chain-assisted Buckshot Lariat and ultimately hang Moxley over the top rope for the victory, securing his second reign as AEW World Champion. This marked a significant shift in the landscape of AEW.

Another historic moment unfolded as Kazuchika Okada defeated Kenny Omega to become the first-ever AEW Unified Champion, merging the AEW Continental and AEW International Championships. Their fifth singles encounter was a masterclass in psychological warfare and targeted offense, with Okada relentlessly attacking Omega’s midsection. Despite Omega’s valiant efforts and a near-fall thwarted by Don Callis, Okada ultimately delivered a final, emphatic Rainmaker lariat to secure the unification.

The AEW Women’s World Championship match saw “Timeless” Toni Storm successfully defend her title against Mercedes Moné, handing the “CEO” her first singles loss in AEW. The physically grueling encounter showcased both women’s resilience, with Storm ultimately delivering an Avalanche Storm Zero to retain her championship. Meanwhile, Athena, the reigning Ring of Honor Women’s World Champion, emerged victorious in the Women’s Casino Gauntlet, earning a future shot at the AEW Women’s World Championship.

The TNT Championship found a new, emotional home as veteran Dustin Rhodes captured the title for the first time in his storied career. In a thrilling Four-Way Match, Rhodes overcame Daniel Garcia, Kyle Fletcher, and Sammy Guevara. The title had been vacated earlier in the night by Adam Cole due to health concerns, leading to a heartfelt message from Cole to the Texas crowd. Rhodes’ victory was a testament to his enduring legacy, sealed with a reversal into a small package pin on Garcia.

High stakes were also on the line in the tag team division. Swerve Strickland and Will Ospreay defeated the Young Bucks (Matthew and Nicholas Jackson) in a match where the Bucks’ Executive Vice Presidency status was on the line. The hard-hitting contest saw Swerve and Ospreay execute a devastating House Call / Hidden Blade combo to strip the Bucks of their EVP titles. In other championship action, The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin) retained their AEW World Tag Team Championships in a Triple Threat match against JetSpeed and The Patriarchy. Post-match, Nick Wayne shockingly turned on Christian Cage, only for the arena to erupt with the arrival of Cope (Edge), who confronted Wayne and Cage, telling Christian to “Go find yourself.” The Opps (Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs & Katsuyori Shibata) also successfully defended their AEW World Trios Championships against the Death Riders’ Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, and Gabe Kidd, though the champions were brutally assaulted post-match.

The Men’s Casino Gauntlet saw Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF) steal a victory after entering at No. 2 and surviving a grueling field of 14 competitors, earning him another world title opportunity. The Zero Hour pre-show also featured exciting action, including the Sons of Texas (Dustin Rhodes, Ross Von Erich, Marshall Von Erich & Sammy Guevara) defeating Shane Taylor Promotions, and Big Boom AJ & the Conglomeration overcoming the Don Callis Family. FTR also secured a win against The Outrunners, albeit with some controversial outside interference.

AEW All In: Texas proved to be a monumental event, delivering on its promise of high-stakes action, unexpected twists, and unforgettable moments that will undoubtedly shape the future of All Elite Wrestling.
