Tragedy at Utah Valley University
Charlie Kirk, the 31-year-old conservative activist and founder of Turning Point USA, was shot and killed on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, during a speaking event at Utah Valley University (UVU) in Orem. The incident, which has been widely condemned as a political assassination, occurred around 12:20 p.m. MDT during a stop on his “American Comeback Tour.”
Kirk was on stage in the university’s quad, conducting a question-and-answer session with students, when a single gunshot was fired.
